For more than 50 years, the Institute of Advanced Advertising Studies (IAAS) has put over 2,500 young, promising agency professionals into a real-life marketing environment, challenging them to deliver the most creative and effective marketing communications plans for clients. This 12 week program is designed to train the brightest, young industry professionals. We recruit faculty, judges, and mentors from leading agencies and brands to deliver our course curriculum. Participants will be given an actual client assignment, form “mini-agencies,” and develop a total advertising program. Teams compete by presenting their work to the “client”.

Course Curriculum

The 4A’s New York Institute of Advanced Advertising Studies (IAAS) is the perfect vehicle for your next generation of advertising leaders to learn the ins and outs of:

  • Paid Media & Comms Planning (Trade/Digital, Programmatic, Funnel, Path to purchase)

  • Storytelling & New Business Pitching

The course runs from January 30 – April 24, 2019 culminating with individual “agency” presentations in a quest to “win” the business. The in-person class dates are tentatively scheduled for Wednesday evenings: 1/30, 2/6, 2/13, 2/20, 2/27, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27, 4/3, 4/10, 4/17. On Wednesday, April 24th, the students will be recognized and the winning team announced at a graduation celebration. Classes begin at 6 PM and conclude at 9 PM.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND? 

Agency professionals with two to five years' experience across all disciplines: creative, media, research, planning, account management, public relations, direct marketing, digital, social and mobile. 


HOW DOES IAAS BENEFIT YOUR AGENCY?

After graduating from the Institute, participants will return to work with a better sense of the big picture, an enhanced ability to work in a team environment and a renewed passion for doing excellent work. The purpose of the IAAS is to provide exceptional junior professionals with the chance to jump-start their careers and increase their contributions to their agencies.
