Course Description

Beacons are small devices that use Bluetooth® Low Energy to communicate with a consumer’s smartphone or tablet based on that shopper’s precise in-store location. With Business Insider predicting that $44 Billion in retail sales will be influenced by beacons in 2016 and 3.5 million beacons will be deployed in retail environments by 2018, this technology is creating a significant new opportunity for in-store shopper engagement.

This course is designed to guide you through how beacon technology works, and how beacon marketing can help to improve the customer experience for retailers and brand advertisers. You’ll be prepared to help them incorporate this technology into their marketing campaigns, and implement unique strategies as a result.
